Jedoch sind präzise Reflektionsmomente über den Rahmen der Verwendung dieses Terminus zur klaren Definition der künstlerischen Bewegung relativ rar. Handelt es sich um eine Kultur im kognitiven Sinne? Überschreitet der Hip Hop bereits den prestige einer künstlerischen Bewegung? Bringt er ideologische Verhaltensweisen mit sich? Es scheint mir hier interessant, sich konkrete Fragen zu der Natur des Hip Hops zu stellen und diese mit Blick auf anthropologische und soziologische Aspekte zu untersuchen. Dazu möchte ich an dieser Stelle die Hypothese aufstellen, dass Hip Hop in der Tat eine eigene Kultur bezeichnet, zusammengefasst heißt das: ein Norm- und Gesinnungssystem. Zunächst sollen diese Faktoren durch komparative Beobachtungsanalyse hervorgehoben werden. Beobachtet werden hierbei die Attitüde und Verhaltensmuster der Mitglieder der Hip Hop Bewegung. Auf Grundlage dessen werde ich Vermutungen über den Bedeutungsgehalt der gesammelten Aspekte anstellen. Allerdings wird es im Vorherrein nötig sein, festzustellen used to be unter die Notation Kultur fällt, um mein Untersuchungsfeld abzugrenzen.
